What are the technical requirements for images?

File Format

We accept images in JPG, PNG, JPEG formats, but we recommend that you submit your images in JPEG format because all images are automatically converted to jpeg when you agree to post to Arabsstock. We do not currently accept layered PSD or TIFF files.

color profile

Arabsstock images are displayed in sRGB because most images on the Internet are displayed in this profile. If you submit images in different profile colors, the colors will likely change during conversion to sRGB, so we recommend converting your images to sRGB before uploading them to Arabsstock.

File size and dimensions

All images must be at least 2.5 megabytes (MB) or larger and set to the highest quality settings to produce an acceptable file for submission to Arabsstock.

The maximum file size you can upload using your web browser is: 50MB for images.

Megapixels (MP) differ from megabytes (MB), because they refer to dimensions, not file size.

To calculate the megapixels, multiply X (width) by Y (height) of your photo or artwork.

For example:

1000 x 2500 pixels = 2.5 mega pixels, a file of this size is considered acceptable.

900 x 2500 pixels = 2.4 megapixels This is considered to be smaller than our minimum size requirement, and our system will not accept this file.

Regarding pixels/dots/inch:

Below is a translation of what 2.5 megapixels means in each measurement. Keep in mind that these values vary based on your computer's DPI/PPI settings, but at 72dpi/PPI (which is the current standard), these values will be:

2.5 million pixels = 2.5 million dots

What are the technical requirements for a vector?

File Format

We accept EPS files, but we require that they be saved in a format compatible with Adobe Illustrator .

color profile

The Arab Stock vector is displayed in sRGB because most vectors on the Internet are displayed in this profile. If you send a vector in different profile colors, the colors will likely change during the conversion to sRGB, so we recommend converting the vector to sRGB before uploading to Arabsstock.

File size and dimensions

All vectors must be at least 4 megabytes (MB) or larger and set to the highest quality settings to produce an acceptable file for submission to Arabsstock.

The maximum file size you can upload using your web browser is: 20MB for vector.

Megabytes (MP) differ from megabytes (MB), because they refer to dimensions, not file size.

To calculate the megabytes, multiply X (width) by Y (height) of your vector or artwork.

For example:

2000 x 2400 bytes = 4.8 MB, a file of this size is considered acceptable.

1200 x 3000 bytes = 3.6 MB, this is less than our minimum size requirement, our system will not accept this file.

Regarding bytes/dots/inch:

Below is a translation of what 4MB means in each measurement. Keep in mind that these values vary based on your computer's DPI/PPI settings, but at 72dpi/PPI (which is the current standard), these values will be:

4 million bytes = 4 million dots = 27,562 picas = 771.62 square inches

EPS files must be no less than 1MB, and no more than 20MB. With EPS files, this requirement applies to the size of the bounding box around your artwork, not your artboard. In the example below the artboard has the white square behind the yellow stars. A bounding box is a blue bounding box that is automatically generated around the actual artwork.

Therefore, even if your artboard is 1 MB or higher, but the bounding box around your artwork is less than 1 MB, you will receive an error message.

To fix this problem, please increase the dimensions of your artwork to 1MB or higher.

In Adobe Illustrator:

1. Select your entire artwork.

2. In the Transform panel, expand your artwork to be at least 1 MB. In CC 2018 and later versions of the software, this panel is nested under the Properties tab.

3. Adjust the artboard accordingly, so that your artwork does not go beyond it.
